The Marine Division is responsible for patrolling the waterways and making sure residents are adhering to boating laws while on the lakes and rivers in Elmore County. Furthermore the Marine Division is tasked with ensuring that boaters are safe while enjoying their time on Elmore County's waterways. In April of 2012 the Elmore County Sheriff's Office joined forces with the Homeland Security Division Delta Rescue and Recovery Dive Team. The Elmore County Dive Team is made up of four divers, two surface support personnel, and a boat operator. Our county is unique in the fact that it has just over 1000 miles of shoreline with waterways which include Lake Martin, Lake Jordan, and the Coosa River.
