Reports to:                        Major, Elmore County Sheriff's Office

Subordinate Staff:              Inmates

Other Internal Contacts:     All Other County Departments

External Contacts:              General Public, Vendors, etc.

 Job Summary

Under the direction of the Sheriff, the employee is responsible supervising inmates and activities related to litter removal from the county right-of-ways.  Employee is responsible for reporting to the Major on all daily work/projects as well as responding to problem reports/complaints related to litter/ dumping reported by county employees and the general public.  The employee may perform tasks at the county collection facilities when deemed necessary. The employee will also perform other tasks as assigned.

Other Characteristics

1. Ability to work in various extremes of inclement weather.

2. High School graduate or equivalent required.

3. Possession of a valid Alabama Driver's License.

4. Ability to communicate with public.

5. Ability to communicate with employees.
